It is time for this year’s auction!
Bid On That Jawn* – celebrating all things Philly!
Plan to join the fun on Saturday, April 22nd beginning at 6:00PM. It won’t yet be “Summertime” but there may be “Dancing in the Streets” in celebration of our “Philadelphia Freedom.” There will definitely be Philly food – and probably some healthy stuff too – and a cash bar for those interested. Oh yes, and there will be free childcare available.
We welcome all donations this year but if you want to make a Philly connection, we certainly welcome those too. Maybe a gift card to Wawa or tickets to a local venue? How about a bike ride along the Schuylkill River or a walking tour of some of the historic buildings? Parties in friends and members homes are also a way to show some Philly love. The most important thing is you! We appreciate your donations, your bids, and your attendance at the event whether as a volunteer or as a guest. The Auction is First Unitarian’s (established in the City of Brotherly Love on June 12, 1796) biggest fundraiser of the year, and your participation is important to its success!
Donation forms, volunteer sign-ups and tickets for the event will be available every Sunday during coffee hour leading up to the event. You will also find Auction Committee members there to answer questions in true Philly style.
Online donation forms are available here, and if you won’t be able to attend the event, ask about arranging for a proxy bidder on your behalf.
So mark your calendars for April 22nd at 6:00PM and plan to get your Philly On!
*From the Urban Dictionary: Jawn is a noun used by Philadelphians to describe anything and everything.
