Event Description

The Ten Thousand Things

Sunday, August 6, 10:00 AM, Parish Room

Led by: Phaedra Tinder

When we consider spiritual issues, we often focus on just that—the “spirit,” or the intangible, ethereal, world. But of course, we spend our days living and moving through a world we can touch. How do manifestations of the physical world such as mementos, places, objects, and artifacts contribute to a sense of meaning in our lives? How can they get in the way?

Worship Leader: Phaedra Tinder

Phaedra is an earth scientist, currently working professionally as a GIS analyst for the City of Philadelphia. Around First Unitarian Church, Phaedra co-leads the Young Adult poetry group, helps craft our monthly Vespers services, and co-edited the volume of poetry written by First Unitarian authors in 2015, Of Oneness With All. First Unitarian has been an important part of her life since first attending in fall 2013.
