Preamble

We, the members of the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia (Unitarian Universalist), wish to reaffirm our commitment of more than 200 years to the principles of our Unitarian Universalist faith. In furtherance of this objective and also:

• to foster a heightened sense of participation and fulfillment among all of the members of our Church;
• to encourage maximum participation of our members in Church activities;
• to create an institution which is efficient in recognizing and fulfilling the needs of our members and the larger community; and
• to provide an organizational structure that is flexible enough to meet the changing needs of our Church and surrounding community, while providing continuing strength and vitality,

we therefore adopt and amend our Bylaws to read as follows.
