Young Adult Small Group Ministry

Second Tuesdays Oct 13, Nov 10, Dec 8, Jan 12, Feb 9

We are in the process of forming a new Small Group Ministry for Young Adults (ages 18 to 40). These groups have been wonderfully successful over at the Unitarian Society of Germantown and the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia, and we want to make it possible for more people to take part in this great program.

In a nutshell- Small Group Ministries are made of 6-10 people who gather once a month to discuss life in general and a specific topic that relates to life and faith. Past topics have been "Congruence of Belief and Action", "What is the Good Life?", "Books that Changed my Life" and "The Stranger".

Joining the group requires a commitment to come to the meetings each month for one year (12 meetings), and to participate in one service project during that time (the group creates their own). It's a wonderful way to meet other like-minded folks and have a chance to talk about things that we don't usually have the chance to deeply discuss. It's also a great way to relax in the middle of the busy balancing-act that life can turn into in our third and fourth decades! If you are interested, or have any questions, please email Emily Joy Goldberg emilyjoygoldberg@gmail.com of the Unitarian Society of Germantown.
