Intergenerational Sundays
Intergenerational Sundays are times throughout the year when the worship experience is intentionally crafted to meet the spiritual needs across the lifespan. Children are actively engaged through out the entire worship service, and often it is through shared experience that adults find a deeper spiritual connection.
A Lesson for All Ages!
This is a time when our Director of Religious Education offers a brief “lesson” to the children and congregation about the deeper Unitarian Universalist meaning to a specific topic. Often these lessons explain ritual context, UU values, and set up for the children and adults what is next to come.
IN OUR CLASSES:
Early Learners
Grades K & 1
Love Surrounds Us
Love Surrounds Us explores our seven UU Principles in the context of Beloved Community: of family/home, school, and neighborhood. Participants engage in activities that emphasize the love they feel in community.
Chalice Children
Grades 2 & 3
Love Will Guide Us
In this program, participants learn to seek guidance in life through the lens of our Unitarian Universalist Sources. They will learn that asking questions is valued in Unitarian Universalism, even as they begin to shape their own answers
The Explorers
Grades 4 through 6
Love Connects Us
Love Connects Us celebrates important ways Unitarian Universalists live our faith in covenanted community. The sessions explore our legacy, from both Universalism and Unitarianism, of living our connections in loving service, inquiry, and action for social justice. Many activities involve participants in teams or small groups, emphasizing their experience as individuals working together in community.
