Calling All Youth! Spiritually curious? Justice seeking?
Hungry for a world where different points of view are welcomed and
embraced? The Youth Group at First Unitarian is for you! We are a
group of teens who honor people as unique individuals on their
personal spiritual journeys. To learn about the ways in which we
explore our religious, social and moral ideas.
We have fun activities such as our annual Youth Retreat, sleepovers
and district conferences. We also feel called to fight injustices
in the world, and do our part by participating with such
organizations as
Broad Street Ministry, the
Unitarian Universalist
Service Committee and the UUA's
Standing
on the Side of Love campaign!

iMinistry: It's all about technology, from iPhones to
Facebook. Youth are invited to join the online community of First
Unitarian by going to the
youth section under groups.
This is a parent free zone, moderated by our minister, Rev. Nate
and Erick DuPree, Director of Religious Education. Stay tuned, soon
we will offer weekly chats and facilitate online youth group
meetings.
One Voice: One Voice is a dramatic arts initiative that
replaces the traditional classroom experiences on Sunday mornings.
Through writing and creating plays about real life issues, the
youth of First Unitarian engage in asking the tough questions of
life from a Unitarian Universalist perspective. The youth are
charged to deliver two powerful Lessons for all Ages from their
work.
Devotional Sundays: Youth as Worship Associates work with
Erick DuPree, director of religious education to model for younger
children what Unitarian Univeralism values and identity look like.
They co-lead Devotion Sunday.
