According to the church bylaws Members are persons who have signed the membership book and “affirm their membership every year by making an identified financial contribution.” In general, members have the authority to vote on bylaws and budgets and to elect the Board of Trustees, to call the Minister and to vote to ordain. Members participate in the governance of the Church through shared knowledge about the operations, through articulating shared values about how the church should be managed and through taking shared responsibility for the financial integrity of our church family.
The bylaws define Friends as “persons wishing to participate regularly in the Church, which includes making an identifiable financial contribution, but who specifically wish not to be members of the Church.” All Friends will be included in the directory, receive regular newsletters but will not have voting rights in congregational meetings.
Visitors are persons who have attended services or programs in the last six months, who may or may not have made an identifiable contribution. All visitors will receive a newsletter for a six-month period and can choose to unsubscribe to e-newsletter at any time. Visitors are not listed in the directory. Organizational of Governance & Ministry As a programmatic church the Board of Trustees governs the church and the Executive Director and the Ministry Leadership Team manages the programs. The following chart outlines those functions, which is further described in this leadership map.

Organizational of Human Resources
The Congregation elects ministers and the Board of Trustees supervise those ministers. The Trustees delegate all supervision to all other employees to the Executive Director. The Business Administrator manages all rental-program staff and the Executive Director manages all the church-related staff.
