First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia ~ Welcome home!

Our Residents

As a regional Community Center the First Unitarian Church welcomes an average of 2,200 people a week. We subsidize dozens of cultural, educational, civic, wellness and spiritual groups.

We consider our tenants to be Partners in Urban Ministry. We proudly subsidize each of our partners, and to the hundreds of people served by them, by providing very affordable and centrally-located space. Listed below is a comprehensive summary of the groups that we have hosted in the last year:


Spiritual: Church of Ageless Wisdom; Art of Living meditation group; non- denominational Christian group; Adiang meditation; Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ; psychic fair; Khalsa Yoga Center concerts; Iftar Dinner; Interfaith worship; Philadelphia Coalition for Victim Advocacy; Mount Calvary Church.

Wellness: Women in Transition; Narcotics Anonymous; aerobics; yoga; movement
education; wrestling; children’s dance classes; Islamic Relief Fund Day of Dignity providing homeless services and medical treatment.
