Director of Religious Education

Erick’s portfolio is dedicated to enriching congregational life through religious education as First Unitarian's primary religious educator. This ministry focuses on children and youth, including nursery, and partners with Rev. Nate to meet the Lifespan Religious Education needs of the congregation.

Erick is the former Lifespan Religious Educator of Arlington Street Church in Boston, MA. He is the recipient of the Mass Bay District’s 2010 Woburn Grant in religious education. Erick is author of Universally Unique: Homilies, Lessons, and Lore, and the curriculum Simply Sevens. Endorsed by the Unitarian Universalist Association to teach Our Whole Lives (OWL) a faith based sexuality program and Spirit Play, Erick is currently pursuant of advanced credential in Lifespan Religious Education.

Erick received his masters of arts from Queen’s University in Canada, post graduate certification in Authentic Leadership at Naropa University, and professional certification in management from Boston University.
