As humans, we have an inclination to react to and remember negative events as opposed to positive ones. The thought is that through natural selection, it was more advantageous for our ancestors to know what could possibly harm or kill them. The positive in our ancestor’s lives wasn’t as pressing and therefore we have an evolutionary bias toward remembering negativity. We will explore this month’s spiritual practice of trying to pay more attention to the positive and blessings in our lives.
