"A Time to Break the Silence" : U.S. Militarism 50 Years After Dr. King's Beyond Vietnam Speech

Tuesday, April 4, 7:00 PM, Parish Room

Hear selections from this historic talk and a message from the Rev. Chris J. Antal, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, New York, staff chaplain in the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and veteran of the U.S. war in Afghanistan. Rev. Antal will speak about the new manifestations of U.S. militarism, highlight the moral and theological dimension,  and reflect on recent efforts to restrain it. Followed by refreshments and discussion. This is part of a national effort to hold events on that day through Veterans for Peace. A free-will donation will go to Veteran's for Peace.
