Event Description

Francis Harper wrote that, in order to be happy, women need more than simply the development of their "affectional natures"; they need their "conscience enlightened, their faith in the true and right established, and scope given to their Heaven-endowed and God-given faculties." As we finish up our week celebrating Harper, this sermon will examine the ways in which we take for granted our UU commitment to women's equality and how we might turn to our own theological past in order to explain our stated positions more fully.

Sermon by Sarah Lenzi.
