Event Description

Join the Chestnut Street Singers, the church's ensemble-in-residence, for "To Arms", featuring music focused on trauma and healing.

Music has an unparalleled ability to soothe and comfort, but it can also stir us up and keep us going in times of struggle and chaos. The program includes works by Benjamin Britten, Alice Parker, and Arvo Pärt and features traditions from Renaissance France, the antebellum United States, and contemporary Haiti.

The Chestnut Street Singers are Michael Blaakman, Josh Dearing, Nate Gibney, Rachel Haimovich, Amy Hochstetler, Michael Johnson, Elissa Kranzler, Kurt Marsden, Ken Olin, Rebekah Reddi, Patrick Ressler, Jordan Rock, Lizzy Schwartz, Dan Sprague, Melinda Steffy, and Caroline Winschel.
