Congregational Start-Up
November 18-19th, Sanctuary and Parish Room
This congregation-wide gathering on Friday evening and during the day on Saturday will be an opportunity for us to reflect on the value of where we have been, the possibilities of where we are now, and create a vision for where we want to go.
As we heard recently at Rev. Abbey's installation ceremony, the beginning of a new ministry is a time of great opportunity. Add your voice to this transformative year by joining us at our upcoming Congregational Start-Up on Friday, November 18 from 7 to 9 PM. The link to RSVP for Friday night is HERE.
The Congregational Start-Up is open to all members and friends of our church community. As Unitarian Universalists, we know that our congregation--rather than the Board or the minister--holds the highest authority in our church, so all are welcome to take part in shaping our new ministry. The Congregational Start-Up will be facilitated by Rev. David Pyle from the Congregational Life Staff of the Unitarian Universalist Association's Central East Region, and the evening will include time to explore our shared priorities for this new chapter in our church's history.
In addition to our work on Friday with the entire congregation, lay leaders and Rev. Abbey will also meet with Rev. Pyle the next day to discuss tactical and strategic ways to achieve our goals. (If you are a lay leader, you will receive a separate RSVP link)
If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Abbey or the Board.
