Day of Dignity returns to First Unitarian Church on November 3rd! In partnership with Islamic Relief USA and the Council for American-Islamic Relations, First Unitarian will host this interfaith day of service, which provides food, clothing, winter supplies, and medical care to hundreds of area residents. This day cannot happen without your support, and volunteers are needed to help with setup, distribution, and cleanup.
As Unitarian Universalists we affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
And that is precisely what this day is about. We are not bringing dignity to the members of our human family whom we serve - we are recognizing it. Please consider joining us for this special day of interfaith cooperation and celebration of human love. Learn more and sign up here.
Donations to help fund this extraordinary event are also being accepted by Islamic Relief. Donors can notify event leaders of their interest by e-mailing them at PhilaVolunteers@gmail.com.
Volunteers are asked to attend one of two information sessions. These will be held at First Unitarian on the following days:
Saturday, October 20th: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Saturday, October 27th: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
