Event Description

Everything does not happen for a reason. We know this and yet continue to say these kinds of theological clichés. Our religion requires us to be intellectually honest. God-talk born from banal platitudes diminishes the power of theology and lets us off the hook for cultivating responsible beliefs. Easter is a perfect day to recommit to speaking for ourselves (not for God or any religious text); to promise to do no harm (we must use theology to do good); and to transform clichés into gritty, hard-won lessons (lessons free from promises of celestial rewards). Please join Reverend Nate for this intellectually honest Easter service. Please bring a flower to share for the annual Flower Communion.
