When people commit acts of violence we often respond with lighting of candles and reading the names of those who were killed. But do we light a candle for those people who carried out the attack? Our Unitarian Universalist principles affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person. What does that affirmation mean for people who are perpetrators of violence stemming from hate?
