9th Annual Philadelphia Interfaith Walk for Peace and Reconciliation
Rain or Shine!
The Interfaith Peace Walk is a walking dialogue between Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Wiccans and others. Our theme this year is “Stewards of the Earth, Stewards of Each Other, Stewards of Peace.” Music, prayers, rituals and wisdom teachings will be featured at three houses of worship along the walk route. Refreshments and fellowship will follow at the final stop. The Interfaith Peace Walk is a free event and all are welcome to participate.
A pre-walk gathering will occur at 12:30 pm at Al-Aqsa Mosque & Islamic Center. A bus will be available to take participants to the Walk’s starting location, Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel, at 1:20 pm for the Walk’s 2:00 pm start time. The bus will follow the walk route for those who are unable to walk the distance and will also bring participants back to Al-Aqsa Islamic Center at the Walk’s end.
