Join fellow First Unitarian Church congregants, leaders, and staff for a weekend-long training to deepen our commitments to racial justice and expand our capacity to counter racism in our individual lives, institutions, and society.
We will explore how racism functions in our inner lives, relationships, and culture, and how it affects us as individuals and as a community, as we work together to make First Unitarian Church a more racially just congregation.
The training will be held Friday evening, the 22nd, for the full day on Saturday the 23rd, and an optional worship and afternoon forum on Sunday. Participants will be asked to commit to attending both Friday night and all-day Saturday, and should bring an open heart and a willingness to sit in the tension that is always necessary for transformation.
We will be led by a team from Beyond Diversity 101: www.bd101.org
The training is free, and meals and childcare will be provided.
