Event Description

Wednesday, October 23, 12-3 PM
Pennsylvania State Capitol, Harrisburg, PA

First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia is proud to have signed onto the Coalition to Abolish Death By Incarceration (CADBI) statement, "We Believe in the Possibility of Redemption: a Statement of Faith on Parole Eligibility for People Sentenced to Life Without Parole." Consider joining CADBI and First Unitarian Church members in Harrisburg on October 23rd to take a stand to end death by incarceration. This year, we will be highlighting the voices of those whose families have been impacted both by violence and incarceration, with a call to lawmakers to end Death By Incarceration (also known as Life Without Parole) and instead support transformation, healing, and accountability. This rally is in support of legislation that would make those who have been sentenced to die in prison eligible for parole.
