Event Description

Join the Urban Farm Task Force of the Social Justice Ministry Team to install a mural at Neighborhood Foods' Farm!

Members of the children’s garden clubs at Neighborhood Foods teamed up with the Community Arts Center in Wallingford to create tiles for a mural to be installed at the farm.  Come out for an early Earth Day event and a great time with some great folks in West Philly.  There will be plenty of other farm-related projects so we want a big group.

Don’t miss this chance to laugh, get dirty, get tired... and feel great about a half day spent at this wonderful urban farm!

Meet us at 9:30 am to carpool over from the church, or just meet us at the farm, Neighborhood Foods Farm, 608 N 53rd St in the Haddington neighborhood of West Philadelphia.  Make sure to wear clothes that can get dirty!  Contact Lee Paczulla (lee@philauu.org) or Brent Groce (brentgroce@me.com) with questions.

In case of rain, we unfortunately won't be able to install the mural outdoors. UTC has set a rain date for Sunday, April 21. We won't be able to carpool from the church that morning, but head out to Neighborhood Foods directly on Sunday in case of Saturday sogginess!
