Event Description

Learn how The New Jim Crow is implemented in Philadelphia from the perspective of a criminal defense attorney. Karen Wolfe, a supervising attorney with the Defender Association of Philadelphia, will describe how the abuse of discretion by police and prosecutors contributes to mass incarceration.

 

Co-sponsored by The Task Force to End Mass Incarceration of the Social Justice Ministry Team, the Young Adults of the First Unitarian Church, decarceratePA, the Unitarian Society of Germantown, and The Center for Returning Citizens.
