Event Description

Following an inspiring presentation last Sunday by Urban Tree Connection founder, Skip Wiener, we will be going out to West Philly to tour some of their farm projects.  As we work to develop our relationship with this successful urban farming organization, this Saturday we will tour various types of gardens and parks.  By learning more about UTC's operations we can determine how best we can work together as a part of our Social Justice focus on Food Justice.
We're in luck because on Saturday they will also be celebrating their annual Harvest Party and we can see how the community has embraced the work of UTC.  We will meet at First U at 12:30 PM to carpool together.  Farm Tour will end by 2pm, but if you'd like to stay for the Harvest Festival (food!  games!  facepainting!), it will continue until 4pm.
Contact Brent ( or Nicole ( if you have questions or can offer a ride.
