Free admission but space is limited: register at to reserve your seat.

Join Tower of Song, a ladies sextet of singers, for our fourth summer of dazzling musicianship and innovative programming. The group primarily performs music and texts composed by women; this year's program spans six centuries and six languages. And to sweeten the deal: the concert is FREE.

Founded by FirstU's own Caroline Winschel and Jen Hayman, Tower of Song is meant not only as a musical interjection into the usually concert-less summer months but also as an opportunity for high-octane musicianship focused on the underrepresented genre of music for women's chamber choirs. And here’s a fun fact: due to the bi-city nature of this venture, the group rehearses once a month for four months, traveling between DC and Philly, to present this performance!

Free admission. Donations appreciated. A reception will follow the concert.

Tower of Song features Sonja Bontrager, Jen Hayman, Elissa Kranzler, Allison Ralph, Melinda Steffy, and Caroline Winschel.

This program will also be presented on Friday, July 17 at All Souls Church Unitarian in DC.
