Worship Services at First Unitarian

About Our Worship

Worship remains the core of our time together as a Unitarian Universalist congregation.  Each week we gather together in spiritual community because we human beings need constant reminders of what matters most in life.  The world around us is often too full of heartbreak and hardship, so our congregations and communities call us to our better selves.

We gather in worship to find meaning and live more deeply, drawing on the ancient roots of the word , from Old English weorthscippen, meaning to ascribe worth to something, or to shape things of worth.  Worship creates connections within, among, and beyond us, calling us to our better selves, calling us to live with wisdom and compassion.

General Information about Sunday Services

Services at First Unitarian Church follow a familiar format to many Sunday services in other denominations.  Each week's sermon topic will build on a theme with reflections that weave together our own thoughts and experiences with music, beauty, poetry, and words that both comfort and challenge.  Click here to read more FAQs about First Unitarian's services!
