Dane joined FUU in 2005 because he loved the choir, Unitarianism runs deep in his family, and he is fascinated by the architecture of Frank Furness. In 2004 Dane and his wife, Joan, moved back to Center City after selling The Queen Victoria Inn, in Cape May, NJ, which they ran for 23 years. They now live in the Rittenhouse Square area.
Dane sings second bass in the church choir, serves on the Property Ministry Team, and gives tours of the church. He and Rick Womer, also a homebrewer, donate a legendary beer dinner each year to the church auction - different theme each year, great fun.
Dane and Joan are active in civics, Dane is a former board member and officer of the Center City Resident's Association, and he gives walking tours for the Preservation Alliance. He is also a Certified Philadelphia Tourguide and a member of the Assoc. of Philadelphia Tourguides.
Dane and Joan enjoy travel and slow food. If interested, you may visit their travel blog "An Appetite for Travel" at firstname.lastname@example.org
