First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia ~ Welcome home!

On Sunday, November 2nd  our service will include the Mexican celebration of el Dia de los Muertos - the Day of the Dead.  Part of the celebration includes creating a festive altar of remembrance called an ofrenda

The ofrenda will be decorated with traditional elements (flowers, candles, fruit, and pan de muertos).  And we'll add pictures and small mementos that you bring to honor those who are important to you (people, or even pets, who have died) to our ofrenda.  This is a time for remembering  and celebrating the people we hold dear and love - no matter if their passing was recent or a long time ago, their spirits are with us still.  You're invited to bring as many as you would like.

Please bring your items with you on Sunday November 2nd - there will be a time in the Service to place them on the ofrenda. If you have any questions, please be in touch!
