First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia ~ Welcome home!

A Wonderful New Opportunity to Help Kick Off the School Year!

Join in and be a positive factor in First UU’s Equation for Success Social Justice Project.  Between August 12th and September 16th, First UU Congregants will have the opportunity to help kick off the school year at the K-8 Andrew Jackson School by donating key items for success in school – Healthy Snacks and School Supplies.

Healthy Snacks consist of individually wrapped snacks such as whole grain granola bars with less than 15g of sugar, small bags of nuts, 100% fruit snacks like the ones at Trader Joes, 100% juice boxes.  Three key School Supplies are being collected – marble and plain Composition Books, Folders and #2 Pencils.

Cash Gifts for bulk purchases are also welcomed.  Please write checks to First Unitarian Church with “Equation for Success SJ Project” on the memo line or collection plate envelope.  Checks or envelopes may be placed in the collection plate or mailed to the church office.

This is a great way to kick off our new Food Justice Theme in conjunction with continuing our successful Education/Literacy work.  Thanks in advance for your continuing generosity!
