First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia ~ Welcome home!

Be Love Now!

It’s that time of year again the month of February, the only month out of twelve with focus solely on heart shaped everything from coffee mugs to doughnuts and dog bowls. Whether sharing breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a loved one, the simple act of eating together, or not is used as a tool in measuring the testament of TRUE LOVE.

Now let me dispel any notion about my being against celebrating romantic love, I am all for it.  I just feel that Love in and of itself is important enough to be elevated, and celebrated in each moment. I feel the same way about Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, Children’s Day, etc... I think that you get my drift. Why constrain, and restrict the natural tendency of the heart’s unlimited capacity to express love?

Life holds out one of two motivators for us, either love or fear. In fear we are restricted and constrained, but love opens us to motivations of passion and excitement in all of our glory. Our hearts are unlimited in the ability to love, so we can BE in that state all the time. But first it is important to be able to accept and love ourselves. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others.

It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love, or how you love, it only matters that you love, because everyone around us is an  energetic reflection of our own  inner state of being. It doesn’t take long to hold a thought of loving gratitude for those near and dear to us, and experience the joy of being in love with all of life.  Be love nothing more, nothing less, because love is all there is. Choose to BE LOVE and watch the world around you transform.

From My Heart to Yours,
