Standing on the Side of Love invites all to participate in its Thirty Days of Love campaign!
In 2010, Standing on the Side of Love sought to turn Valentine’s Day into a social justice holiday, to lift up the power of love, compassion, inclusion, and respect. Their vision has since evolved into the National Standing on the Side of Love Month or the Thirty Days of Love.
“Thirty Days of Love is a time for deepening our commitment to stand on the side of love through listening, discovery, community engagement, education, inspiration, celebration, lifting up, and daily, direct actions for love.” (From the SSL website)
National Standing on the Side of Love Month includes Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (mark your calendars for this day of service!) and runs until February 17, 2013. During the month, each week carries a different theme for reflection and action. They are:
Week One: Honor Legacy
Week Two: Think Interfaith
Week Three: Move Beyond Borders
Week Four: Share the Love
